Victor Travel Basketball strives to provide each child who is interested in playing a competitive level of basketball with an opportunity to play the game while developing /enhancing their skills enabling them to become a better basketball player. As the children move into the 7th and 8th grade travel program, the emphasis is for this level to be the feeder program for the Victor School Basketball Program and as such eligibility for this level is adjusted to meet this criteria as outlined below. Victor Travel Basketball was created to offer a fun and competitive venue for young athletes to play basketball. Our program is not a recreation type program, rather a more competitive option for advanced play in game situations. 

Practice sessions begin in late fall and continue through April. Practice is typically twice a week, but can vary based on the coach's discretion. League games start in November and run through April. Games are usually played on weekends. The travel coach may also elect to play in area tournaments.

Eligibility: Players who will be going into 3rd grade through 8th grade of the season year are eligible to try out for the Victor Travel Basketball program. 

Conditional Eligibility requirements:   3rd thru 6th grade bracket: During tryouts and team selection, players will be chosen for rosters by the following prioritized criteria Victor Central School District Resident; Non Victor Central School District Resident.   

7th and 8th grade bracket: During Tryouts and team selection, players will be chosen for rosters by the following prioritized criteria; 7th and 8th grade students that attend Victor Central School;7th and 8th grade students of Victor Central District but do not attend Victor Schools;7th and 8th grade students that are not in the Victor School District .  

Playing Up: Victor Travel Basketball Policy regarding playing up a grade level: Any parent that is interested in having their child ‘play up’ will be bound by the following requirements. Parent must fill out Playing up form. Parent must get approval signature of appropriate Boys/Girls coordinator before presented to board .Parent must present form to the board. Board will only consider request if: The number of players on a team dictates the need for an additional players and Player requesting to ‘play up’ would not cause someone of the appropriate grade level to be cut from team.  Player who elects to play up cannot play on two teams his/her grade level team and the above grade level team.  Board will consult with coach as to abilities of requesting players skills.   Board will make determination based on above criteria.

Program Fees:    $235.00 per person grades 7-8                         $235.00 per person grades 3- 6                $100 if uniform needed (last year's can be used this year)       

Program fees cover referees, gym time costs, league fees, at least one tournament, insurance and misc. program fees. 

Tryouts: Travel basketball conducts open tryouts for competition in grades 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8, in the both boys and girls divisions. Tryouts will be held in late September. Specific dates, times and gym locations should be available by September.
